About Dr. Jennifer Liu
Dr. Jennifer J. Liu, DDS, MD was born in Taiwan and is the youngest of six girls. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from The Ohio State University in 1996 and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan in 2001. She attended the University of Florida where she graduated from the College of Medicine and received her MD degree in 2004. Dr. Liu completed an internship in General Surgery and her residency in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery with anesthesiology training, at the University of Florida and its affiliated hospitals.
Dr. Liu enjoys all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery and focuses on the removal/management of impacted teeth, dental implants and bone grafts, facial trauma and reconstruction, management of pathologic conditions of the jaw or face, correction jaw surgery, treatment of OSA and surgical management of TMJ disorders.
Board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Liu is uniquely qualified to treat facial and oral disorders. She has an active California medical license and maintains hospital privileges at Alta Bates Medical Center in Berkeley and Valley Care Medical Center in Pleasanton.
She is also a member of American Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons, California Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, American Medical Association and California Dental Association. She is committed to providing excellent patient care and community service – as well as to a process of lifelong learning to meet the changing needs of a diverse patient population.
Dr. Jennifer J. Liu is fluent in English, Mandarin and Taiwanese. In her spare time she enjoys traveling with her husband and her 2 daughters.
